I had a fantastic time at TGA. All of the team and the members were welcoming and helpful. This place has the best atmosphere for anyone looking for somewhere to train or get fitter. It's true when they tell you it's a family and you feel it from day 1

An astounding home of martial arts for everyone. Very welcoming and humble. I'm new to the area and was keen to start training for a number of years out - consider myself incredibly lucky to have found this as early as i have. BJJ classes in particular are fantastic and you can really tell the teachers there are set on bringing out the best in your own personal journey. Plenty of support for those who want to be a little more competitive, too. Strongly recommend it to everyone from all walks of life. Amazing place with amazing people.

My 9 year old son who has ASD started TGA in May, we have tried a few sports activities previously and nothing has ever stuck and got his interest. He has just passed his purple belt today and he is super proud of himself and most importantly a very happy boy. I cannot speak highly enough about TGA from the staff, curriculum and facilities. I started Martial Arts when i was little and took a break to do Street Dance. Martial Arts gave me the confidence to be the person i am today, it has played an important part in my life. I started jiu jitsu a year ago and it has built so much more confidence in myself and my lifestyle. I think it is very important for a teenage girl to know the skills of jiu jitsu as it is important to know how to look after yourself. TGA is my home and everyone is very welcoming. The staff at TGA are always welcoming, fun and energetic. it is an amazing place to be part of :)

Absolutely amazing martial arts academy, my son Tommy has special needs and i can't believe the difference since he's been going here! He's starting to learn respect, patience and is generally behaving so much better at home and at school. I would recommend this academy to anyone that is thinking of MA for their little ones. I'll definitely be sending my youngest here when he's old enough to attend!

Our son started TGA martial arts in the summer last year, when he was 4 and has steadily shown progress. We have seen our son grow in confidence and respect. He is now 5 and got his orange belt today. We could not be prouder of how hard he has worked and the fantastic support he has at TGA. We highly recommend it to any of our friends and famiy.

Started at TGA about 2 months ago and wow what an experience it has been joining here has by far, it has been the best choice i have ever made, everyone is so friendly and welcoming, and it really is like a big family here. I started training at TGA after a long time with a different lineage of jiu jitsu. So many positives and too many to name them all. The highlights are that TGA is a family focussed training centre, they make you feel welcome from day 1. Even when i was having a trial i was welcomed with open arms and everyone there is so positive and encouraging. 

I have fallen in love with jiu jitsu all over again after having 12 months off during the pandemic. The classes have great energy and everyone is keen to help and develop. Machado jiu jitsu has a lovely flow focus with some brilliant techniques and transitions. If you're looking to get fit, meet some lovely people and develop your jiu jitsu then this is the place. I contacted TGA to discuss what type of training they offered and was instantly invited to take a look at the facilities on the same day. I spoke with Mr Glasheen the owner and within the first 5 minutes i knew that TGA was the perfect place for me. It embraces the true values in martial arts which provides that relaxed mindfulness required to stay motivated. This was key for me due to struggling with some mental health issues when first reaching out to TGA.

Joining the TGA family was one of the best decisions for our girls we have made. The professionalism of the instructors, the guidance given, the encouragement and support is second to none. 

The facilities at the Dojo in Crewe are amazing. Since the start of the pandemic their safety procedures have been exemplary, taking temperatures, sanitising constantly and reducing class sizes for safety, keeping everybody safe at all times before, during and after class.

They have continued to encourage, support and lead during lockdown and have given the students amazing continuity from home.

I've been going to the ladies - only kickboxing classes for over a year and love them! Everyone in the class is so friendly; the classes are fun, challenging and engaging thanks to the brilliant teachers there. Everyone at TGA has also done an amazing job of keeping classes going and keeping everyone informed during lockdown, showing their commitment and their ability to adapt and still deliver great-quality classes over zoom. It's great not only getting in a good workout and meeting new people, but gaining a new skill too. Isabelle has been coming TGA since 2017. She really enjoys learning all the hand drills and kicks. She has learned discipline, self respect, confidence and she has fun every time. The staff are friendly and amazing. Would definitely recommend. 

I started kickboxing at TGA 18 months ago and from the moment i started i felt really welcome. The classes are exceptional, all the TGA team are highly trained and so encouraging. We work hard in class, training is always varied and the motivation from the instructors is amazing. Kickboxing has made me stronger physically and mentally. Throughout lockdown, classes moved seamlessly from the dojo to online without a gap and with no decrease in the quality of classes. The value for money is really good too. My name is Dawn Griffiths and i am almost 49 and the mum of 2 girls aged 9 and 8 years old. Nearly 4 years i entered through the doors of TGA expecting to see 20 something young things who were super trim and i would be flat on my back with in seconds. Oh boy how wrong could anyone be, Ladies of all ages and levels of fitness. Everyone is open and friendly, i started my Martial Arts journey at a time in my life at a time of great loneliness in my life as my eldest daughter was born with Down's syndrome. Last year was tough for everyone but last year i lost my much beloved father and my TGA family helped me both mentally and physically to get through. Now both of my daughters are training with the TGA team. Lucy the eldest has one to one and really enjoys her training and feels included. Lucy did have a lot of behavioural problems but now has an outlet for her frustration in a controlled environment. Eva the youngest and the more timid of the 2 girls has more confidence in herself. TGA environment is positive and supportive and caring. As in life you only get out what you put in. I can't thank everyone at TGA enough. The staff are amazing and always have time to explain things in a professional way but also in a way that makes it fun. So go on if i can do it then you can too. 

Brilliant team and amazing classes. I joined the ladies only kickboxing to build my fitness, gain strength and confidence. Mr Glasheen and the team are vert attentive and professional. The classes are structured yet fun and for anyone worrying about feeling uncomfortable, they put you at ease and make you feel welcome. 

I really enjoy these training classes - i'm always pushed hard but ability levels are understood and injuries respected (which surprisingly isn't always the case in other sport related classes). It's also a lot of fun and good value for money! 

My son started with TGA martial arts a few months back and i couldn't recommend this company enough. I took him for his first trial lesson and Mr Belcher was amazing with him, made him feel so welcome. We signed him up and was blessed to receive the first month free with free uniform, the whole process was great. My daughter has been coming to TGA academy for a little under 4 years now and in that 4 years, she has learnt of skills doing martial arts and self defence. This has made her so much more confident as she was a very shy little girl to start with, she has made some amazing friends and TGA is always making us feel part of the family! In that 4 years she's managed to get her self to a blue belt :). Just to add to this, TGA has really helped her mentally during the COVID pandemic with being able to full fill her classes online via zoom and is still able to see her amazing teacher and friends. Joining the TGA family was one of the best things we did. It has developed my sons confidence and self defence skills over the past two years. The classes have supported us as parents to produce a respectful, self disciplined young man who can stand up for himself and achieve his goals in life. Cannot recommend Mr Glasheen and the TGA family enough. My 7 year old started in the summer of 2020 to help with his behaviour, after a couple of weeks we noticed a positive change. Very safe and the children come first. Even during lockdowns we have on-line classes to keep the routine and training up. My son loves Karate and always receives lots of encouragement and praise. 

Kickboxing is definitely not something i would normally try, but being a mum of two young girls, i needed a new challenge, something to help me to get fit and lose a bit of weight.

I joined the ladies only kickboxing programme and it has been so much more than i thought it would be. I have learnt (and i am still learning) a new skill, i feel stronger and fitter and it has really developed my confidence. The teachers are very skilled and very welcoming even to total beginners like me (i was very unfit and had never done martial arts before) i have met a very supportive group of women and new friends. I have achieved my 3rd belt and am still enjoying it a year and a half later.

It has been a lifeline during lockdown and the lessons have continued online. A good chance to forget and work out all the stresses that 2020/2021 has brought with it.

If you want a new goal and something different to motivate you, i would recommend TGA martial arts.

The friendliest and most professional dojo i've ever trained at. Everyone is always made to feel welcome and the quality of martial arts taught there is world class thanks to Mr Glasheen and his excellent instructors. Plus the way they adapted their classes to lockdown has been brilliant!

My son has been a student at TGA for nearly 5 years, he gained physical strength and even more mental strength and self - confidence. Seeing him grow there, encouraged me to become a student too and i have been enjoying it for over 4 years now. You always feel welcome at the academy. Instructors are approachable but they will push you to train harder and harder to reach your potential. My 2 boys have been training at TGA academy Crewe for 6 years now and they love it, all instructors are fabulous, friendly and helpful. Not only are the boys learning martial arts but they are also learning self defence, respect, discipline and confidence. 

I myself joined the ladies only kickboxing program 4 years ago and i love every second of it, i've made some amazing friends and achieved a lot personally thanks to the instructors support i love every class.

Martial Arts is a way of life. 

Mr Glasheen and the team at TGA are knowledgeable, friendly, and generous, and they have welcomed us with open arms into the TGA family. 

I did a lot of research on local dojos and academies before my family moved to the area. Having watched how my son was welcomed, nurtured, supported, and how his skillset was respected after he transferred to TGA from another dojo, and subsequently saw how my wife enjoyed her kickboxing classes, it was a no brainer for me to join this academy to.

As a nomad whose training has been in various styles for working reasons, it was time for me to focus on my own personal goals in the arts as well as my work. I knew immediately after speaking with Mr Glasheen about my goals that TGA were exactly the people i needed around me to work with me and push me towards my goals. Time has proven that i wasn't wrong, and i have even expanded my learning into BJJ along side the more striking based art forms.

Between us we attend 10 classes a week, and it is one of the best investments we have made as a a family.

Brilliant Martial Arts training for my kids, would recommend to anyone. 

Freddie started attending the local Sandbach class as a nervous boy, he tried a free trial as he'd never done anything like this before. With him having ADHD, i wanted him to try something that was different but also something that taught discipline and respect. Well i stood in awe of Miss Powell at the trial, she captivated every single child in the room and they had full respect for their instructor. We signed him up and now 3 years later, he has not only grown in height but grown into someone who has matured into a kind hearted young man. 

Freddie was asked to join the leadership programme which was amazing as he hadn't been there that long but Mr Glasheen and Miss Powell saw something that needed to be nurtured and developed. He now hold his Deputy Black Belt which is absolutely incredible. TGA is a 2nd family for him, he has made friends, he has taught younger ones which he has enjoyed so much, hopefully he can do this again after the lockdown. He has built relationships with his instructors. He talks situations through with Miss Powell that have happened at school and how he could have handled them differently. They support him as their own. We have even carried on with lessons online which i don't think many Dojo's have done so we have kept some routine and exercise which is so improvement for their health and mental well-being. 

Anyone wanting to start Martial Arts then i would highly recommend TGA.

My daughter has been coming here for 5 years and she loves it. 

She has learnt so much all attending classes. She's been part of the leadership program and has been for a few years now. She has worked very hard to get to a deputy black belt. She also takes part in the jiu jitsu classes at TGA, which has added another string to her bow. 

Before lockdown she also helped with the junior classes to help them with their moves and anything else sir wanted to show them. We are now using the online platform which TGA has put together so the learning can continue and keep the kids going, and bring some normality to their days. TGA is like a family and we're always there for family. 

TGA Martial Arts is a fantastic place for my daughter to learn how to look after herself in today's world should she need to in self defence. The staff go above and beyond in everything they do and not only teaching martial arts they have taught my daughter many life values and you are treated almost as if family. Through these tough times of lockdowns and uncertainty Mr Glasheen has always been in contact about how training will go forward and produced online live training sessions that mean she can continue training with ease and as we have a wooden floor he has very kindly given us some foam mats to borrow to train on at home. 

TGA is a great place to learn and i highly recommend it.
