TGA Martial Arts in the Community
The TGA Ninja Turtle was out having fun in Crewe again earlier this month at our local Further Education College.
Instructor Powell took the Ninja Turtle to South Cheshire College’s Community Day to meet other community groups and join in with the fun and entertainment. At TGA Martial Arts, it is important to us that we support local community initiatives that bring the people of Crewe together.
It was brilliant to be able to meet up with children at the Community Day who we’d seen earlier in the week at St Michael’s Academy, where we were delivering the MANTIS programme. They were all excited to see Instructor Powell outside of the setting they’d first met her and their positive reaction was wonderful to hear.
In between buying a burger and taking a look at what was going on on the bouncy castle, the TGA Ninja Turtle met and held a snake from Zoo2U.
Instructor Powell said: “We had a great afternoon supporting the event and meeting new people. There was such a nice atmosphere and children were running up to us for photographs and to meet The TGA Ninja Turtle!
“We had a chance to see the wonderful facilities at the College in a setting that we are most comfortable - the community!”
What a great afternoon where we were able to meet some new people and community groups and also build links with South Cheshire College.
We have since been invited to sponsor the ‘Petty Pool Vocational College Award’ and attend the South Cheshire College Student Awards Event at the beginning of July.
We are proud and privileged to be part of this event which celebrates the successes of students in the last academic year.
It’s likely that The TGA Ninja Turtle will stay at home for this event, but TGA’s CEO Damian Glasheen will be representing the team.
